Vira City - Mars Resettlement
Design of brand and identity of an imaginary city on Mars when Earth need a break from the humankind to heal herself and regenerate. Vira City introduces ‘the first Martians’ with the idea of community, innovation and sustainability; as well as increase the awareness of the present environmental problem on Earth. The identity inspired by the image of a rising star, connecting Mars and Earth, indicate a new start after the resettlement and mark human’s first step to a multi-planetary future.
With this project, I was given a chance to create my own images and mockups to show the unique and authenticity of Vira City visuals. As it is such an abnormal concept, the images are made with unusual sky colour, strange fauna species with super close range planets.
The logo is made of the city initial, letter V, with a rising star representing the most elevated and aspiring vision of Vira City. Supported by the out of ordinary colour combination, the identity of the city is clearly stated; bold, young, visionary and ascending.
The following visuals are prepared for the first Martians Conference that is organised at NGV, based in Melbourne, Australia. During the event, people will be introduced with the concept of living on Mars under the dome of Vira City, and so much more to explore.
